I’m a licensed clinical psychologist and since my graduation in 1987 I’ve been working in the field of mental health, currently at the Akershus University Hospital in Norway.
After earning my university degree in psychology, I have additionally completed a 5-year post-graduate training program to become recognized as clinical psychologist (Specialist in Clinical Psychology) in Norway. Having a psychodynamic background, I was subsequently trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
In 2014 I completed certification process to become officially recognized as Peer-reviewed ACT Trainer by the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science.
In the years 2015-2018 I ran a team of clinicians at the Akershus University Hospital that developed and implemented a new integrative treatment for depression and co-occurring personality problems. The treatment is known under a working name Emotional Safeness Therapy.
Besides clinical work, in the recent years I have also delivered lectures for post-graduate psychotherapy training programs at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warszawa, Poland. And in the same time I presented my work at 12 international conferences in 9 different countries.
